Our customers have caught Tigerfish to 22lb, and most trips result in multiple double figure fish as well as Vundu in excess of 50lb as well as several other species.

The Itinerary

Given the current situation please contact us directly to confirm prices but as a rough guide expect to pay between £6,300 and £6,800 per person.

This includes All-Inclusive accommodation at the lodge ( max 2 to a room ), all transfers, charter and international flights, 8 days fishing, ( max 2 to a boat ) and all park fees.

Escorted group trips incur no extra costs, unlike some other operators, contact us for dates of these trips.

Day 1

Travelling

Travel from Heathrow on an overnight flight to Jo'burg followed by an onward flight to Lusaka.

Day 2

Welcome to Baines

You will be met at Lusaka and directed across the airport to to your private transfer to the Royal Zambezi Airstrip, 30 minute flight over the escarpment seeing the river meandering below you. 30 minute road transfer to Baines River Camp, there is an opportunity to fish before evening meal, or just familiarise yourself with the stunning surroundings

Days 3-9

Fishing Galore!

Awaken to the unique sounds of the bush! This is where you have to decide what to do, fish all day with a packed lunch and a stop next to the elephants, fish and back for a lunch then another session into dusk. Take a game drive, a mini safari, a walking safari or just set off later after a leisurely full cooked breakfast. The choice is yours and everything is included in the price.

After the days activities return to the lodge to watch the incredible African sunset drinking sundowners and listen to the bush come alive whilst dinner is being prepared for you.

Day 10-11

Travelling Home

After a leisurely breakfast at the lodge take a private charter flight to Lusaka to catch your return flight to LHR via Jo'burg.

This lodge is probably the location that is most suited to trips for both anglers and partners, each day can be individually customised, at no extra cost according to what you would like to do. If you want to fish all day long then do this, a lie in, cooked breakfast and fishing, no problem, fish in the morning and return for lunch, game drive in the afternoon, consider it done. Or spend the whole day viewing the fantastic game that is available literally on your doorstep. On a recent trip we had elephants, civets, servals, honey badger, hippos, hyena and leopard in the lodge area!
